FAQ Videos ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FAQ Videos mobile application and the website at faqvideos.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

Information We Collect

Device Identifier: When you first open the app, we generate a random device identifier to create your account automatically. This allows you to use the app without signing up. The identifier is stored locally on your device and on our server.

Apple Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Apple (optional), we receive your Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We do not receive your Apple ID password.

Camera and Microphone: The app accesses your camera and microphone to record video. Recordings are saved locally on your device. We do not access your camera or microphone outside of active recording sessions.

Content You Create: Topics you enter, prompts generated for you, and metadata about videos you record (duration, timestamp) are stored on our server to provide the service. Video files are stored locally on your device and are only uploaded to cloud storage if you are a paid subscriber.

Usage Data: We collect usage events (e.g., prompts viewed, skipped, saved, or recorded) to improve prompt quality and the app experience. These events are associated with your account but are not shared with third parties.

Subscription Data: Subscription status is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status but never see your payment details.

How We Use Your Information

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple: Authentication (Sign in with Apple) and payment processing
• RevenueCat: Subscription and entitlement management
• Anthropic: AI prompt generation (your topics and audience description are sent to generate prompts; no videos or recordings are shared)
• Render: Server and database hosting
• Cloudflare: Website hosting and video storage (Cloudflare R2)

Each third party processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data Storage and Security

Your account data and topics are stored in a secure database hosted on Render. Videos uploaded by paid subscribers are stored in Cloudflare R2 with access controlled by time-limited signed URLs. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, topics, prompts, videos, and share links. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Children's Privacy

FAQ Videos is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
